Dissolving What Divides
huàn · Wind over WaterLoosen what divides people, and return to what joins them.
When people have drifted apart, the way can open again. The king goes to the ancestral temple to gather hearts. It is a good time to cross the great river, provided you stay upright.
The six lines
Help comes by way of a strong horse. Use strong means early; that goes well, and regret falls away.
As things scatter, you run to the table you can lean on. Find your support and regret falls away.
You let your own self dissolve, setting aside private concerns. There is nothing to regret.
You break up your own faction, a very good thing. What scatters can gather into a hill, which ordinary thought would not expect.
The leader's great word goes out like sweat that cannot return, and the ruler's own holdings are shared. No fault.
Dissolve the blood and hurt. Leave the danger, put distance between you and it, and there is no fault.
