Face & palm reading
Chinese face reading and palm reading are traditions that read a life from face and hand.

How a reader looks at you
Split the face in three
Hairline to brows stands for youth, brows to nose tip for midlife, and nose tip to chin for later years.
Choose the hand
Tradition reads a man's left hand and a woman's right. Many readers then look at both and compare.
Follow three lines
The main lines are heaven, human and earth. They roughly match the heart, head and life lines of Western palmistry.
Five mountains on the face, three lines in the hand.
Face and palm reading are traditions, not science. Never judge a person's worth by looks, and do not use them for medical, legal or money decisions.
Good to know
What is Chinese face reading?
Chinese face reading, or mianxiang, is a tradition that reads character and fortune from the features. It divides the face into three zones, five mountains and twelve palaces.
Which hand do you read in Chinese palmistry?
Traditionally the left for men and the right for women. Some readers treat one hand as what you were born with and the other as what you have done.
Does a short life line mean a short life?
No. Palm lines do not measure how long you will live. Even within the tradition, a reader looks at the whole hand, not one line.
