豚魚吉，利涉大川，利貞。
Sincerity so deep it reaches even pigs and fish, the humblest of creatures. With that kind of trust you can cross the great river. Stay true to it.
The six lines
初九：虞吉，有它不燕。
Stay settled and prepared, and this goes well. If your heart turns elsewhere, you will lose your peace.
九二：鳴鶴在陰，其子和之，我有好爵，吾與爾靡之。
Hidden in the shade, a crane cries and its chick calls back. There is good wine here, and I would drink it with you.
六三：得敵，或鼓或罷，或泣或歌。
You meet your match and cannot settle: drumming then halting, weeping then singing. Your mood swings with someone else's.
六四：月幾望，馬匹亡，无咎。
The moon is nearly full. One horse of the pair goes missing: leave the old partner behind and there is no fault.
九五：有孚攣如，无咎。
Your sincerity links you to others, hand in hand. No fault in this.
上九：翰音登于天，貞凶。
A rooster's cry tries to climb to heaven. Its voice outruns its wings. Holding to such empty show is a real caution.
