Steady Climb
shēng · Earth over WindTake the next small step up, and keep taking it.
Like a tree rising out of the soil, you can grow steadily upward. Go and see people of standing, let go of worry, and set out southward toward the light.
The six lines
You rise with the trust of those above you. Earned confidence is the best root any climb can have.
Sincerity counts for more than display. A humble summer offering, made honestly, is enough to keep you on good terms.
You climb into an empty town, and no one stands in your way. The path is unusually open, so walk in without hesitation.
The king makes an offering on Mount Qi. You are trusted to serve something sacred and higher; humble service keeps you in the clear.
Stay true and climb the stairs one at a time. Steady progress suits you; each step can bear your weight.
You keep rising in the dark, unsure of what lies ahead. Steady, unceasing integrity is all that helps now, not more ambition.
