At Odds
kuí · Fire over LakeLook for one small point you can agree on.
Fire rises while the lake sinks, so the two drift apart. People are seeing things differently right now. Full agreement is out of reach, but small matters can still go well.
The six lines
Regret fades. Do not chase a lost horse; it can find its way back. Meet even people you dislike; that open door does no harm.
You run into the person who matters by chance in a back lane. An informal route is fine when the formal one is blocked.
Your cart is dragged back, your ox held fast, and you feel branded and disfigured. A bad start, yet this can still end well.
Isolated in the middle of discord, you meet someone good at heart. Trust forms between you. The situation stays risky, but you avoid blame.
Regret fades. Your own people bite through as if into tender meat, and the gap closes easily. Go to them; where is the fault?
Alone, you imagine a filthy pig and a cart of ghosts. You draw your bow, then lower it: a suitor, not a raider. Rain clears things.
