Bagua mirrors
A bagua mirror hangs outside, over the door, and faces what troubles the house.

Three things to know before hanging one
Know the three mirrors
People say flat sends trouble straight back, convex scatters it, and concave draws it in and holds it, so concave is used with care.
Aim at the source
It answers an outside problem: a road aimed at your door, a sharp roof corner, a utility pole. With no such problem, you do not need one.
Keep it off the neighbors
Never aim it at a neighbor's door. In Chinese communities that reads as hostile and has started real quarrels. Keep it off indoor walls too.
Hang it for your home, never against a neighbor.
What to check
A bagua mirror is a traditional symbol. It will not fix a safety, legal or money problem, and a neighbor may object.

Good to know
Where should you hang a bagua mirror?
Outside, above the front door or a window, facing the thing you want to deflect. Hang it level, with Qian and its three solid lines at the top.
Can you put a bagua mirror inside the house?
Traditionally, no. Its job is to push outside energy away, and indoors that would turn on your own family. For inside problems, people use plants, screens or rugs.
What is the difference between a bagua mirror and a bagua map?
The mirror is a protective object in Early Heaven order. The map is a room-planning tool drawn in Later Heaven order, used on paper rather than hung up.
